In the morning, Mohan drove us to Udaipur aiport to catch our flight to Jaipur. After checking in, there were a further three (!) security checks before we got on the plane, each one checking through our bags. The process was slow and long winded and frustrated a few people in the queue, but [...]

Mt Abu was recommended as a beautiful hill-station worth visiting (the only hill-station in Rajasthan) for a few days so we booked a car for 3 days and headed up there. The next day, we headed up to City Palace, entering through the large “Elephant Gate” at the top of the road where Jagdish temple is located. The palace building is beautiful, with turrets and ornate decorations on the outside.
